Long Beach, N.Y. — October 9 — The City of Long Beach Fire Department responded mutual aid to the Island Park Fire Department for a recreational vehicle fire on California Place North. Early reports suggested the possibility of occupants inside, but the RV was found to be unoccupied upon arrival. Engine 2344 and Tower Ladder 2372 assisted Island Park crews in extinguishing the fire.

Assistant Chief Ray responded and coordinated operations on scene. The fire was contained without injuries, and all units were returned to service.
