Long Beach, N.Y. — October 7 — The City of Long Beach Fire Department responded this morning to a motor vehicle collision at Long Beach Boulevard and East Pine Street. Crews arrived to find one driver pinned in their vehicle. Engine 2343 personnel used hydraulic rescue tools to remove the driver’s side door and provide access for patient care.
The driver was transported by Ambulance 2322 to Mount Sinai South Nassau in stable condition. Heavy Rescue 232 also operated on scene. All actions were coordinated under the command of Assistant Chief Hadrick Ray.
