Chaffee, N.Y. — October 13 — Fire Prevention Week was an active one for the Chaffee-Sardinia Volunteer Fire Company, with members taking part in several community outreach efforts. Firefighters visited Holland and Delevan Elementary Schools on Wednesday and Thursday, where they demonstrated off-road rescue equipment and spoke with students about emergency preparedness and fire safety practices.

The department also hosted its annual Fire Prevention Open House on Wednesday evening, offering families the chance to tour apparatus, meet firefighters, and learn more about prevention measures in the home.
