Waldwick, NJ - Firefighters from the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department responded Wednesday to Lee Court to address an exterior fire involving a large commercial disposal container.
Units were alerted on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, for a reported fire inside a 40-yard roll-off dumpster stationed outside a residential property. First-arriving crews located an active, localized fire contained within the debris.
Crews advanced a single handline off the squad apparatus to quickly saturate the burning material and knock down the fire.
Due to the fast knockdown and direct application of water, no structural damage occurred to the nearby home, and the dumpster unit itself sustained no damage.
