Glen Cove, N.Y. — October 19 — The City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department hosted its annual Fire Prevention Open House at 10 Glen Cove Avenue, welcoming residents for safety demonstrations and firehouse tours. The program highlighted home escape planning, smoke alarm awareness, and the role of early reporting during emergencies.

Support for the event included the Nassau County Office of the Fire Marshal, the American Red Cross Eastern New York, Glen Cove EMS, and the Syosset Volunteer Fire Department, which provided its training house for educational use. The department thanked all partners and community members for attending and taking part in the day’s activities.
