Leicester, N.Y. — October 11 — As part of Fire Prevention Education Month, members of the Leicester Volunteer Fire Department joined York Fire Department and Cuylerville Fire & Rescue to visit local elementary students for a day of safety demonstrations and fire education.

Firefighters and EMS personnel showed students their turnout gear and air packs to help children recognize responders during an emergency. They also demonstrated the stop-drop-roll technique and discussed safe exit strategies, ensuring students understood how to respond calmly and correctly if a fire occurs.
