West Webster, N.Y. — October 11 — Firefighters from across New York State took part in the NYS Fire Chiefs Flashover training at the West Webster Fire Department. The exercise, held behind the Gravel Road fire station, involved live-burn simulations to help participants recognize and safely respond to flashover conditions.

Controlled smoke was visible throughout the day as crews practiced interior firefighting and heat recognition under instructor supervision. The training aimed to enhance firefighter safety, awareness, and teamwork during high-risk structure fires.
