Brookfield, Mass.—October 17— The Brookfield Fire Department, based at 4 Central Street, was dispatched to East Brookfield to assist at a one-vehicle crash requiring technical rescue. The department was requested for additional personnel and specialized extrication tools to help remove a trapped driver.
Working alongside East Brookfield crews, firefighters used multiple hydraulic tools simultaneously to gain access and safely free the patient from the vehicle. Once extricated, the individual was transferred to a LifeFlight helicopter at a landing zone set up at the Quaboag Street boat ramp.
