Boylston, Mass.—October 21— The Boylston Fire Department, located at 599 Main Street, held a vehicle extrication training exercise that simulated a real-world car accident. Firefighters practiced critical rescue skills using hydraulic tools, including the Jaws of Life, to safely remove simulated patients from damaged vehicles.
The hands-on training focused on teamwork, stabilization, and tool proficiency—key components of successful extrication operations. Realistic drills like these allow crews to refine their techniques in controlled environments, ensuring faster and safer responses during actual emergencies.
