BROOKHAVEN, NY - On October 20th, the Brookhaven Fire Department was activated for a reported garage fire. 5-3-31 arrived on scene, found heavy fire coming from a garage and quickly transmitted the working fire. Bellport Engine 5 arrived on scene and stretched a line to knock down all fire. Brookhaven and mutual aid companies also arrived on scene and helped extinguish fire and start primary searches. The scene was placed under control within one hour.
