Crash with Deer Leads Adams Fire Department Call

Adams, NY — February 16th–17th — Over the course of two days, the Adams Fire Department responded to various occurrences in the town and village of Adams.


At 9:21 p.m. on February 16th, firefighters and the South Jefferson Rescue Squad were alerted to 11091 Fuller Road for a motor vehicle accident resulting in injuries after a vehicle collided with multiple deer and a tree. Chiefs 1-0-1, 1-0-2, and 1-0-3 responded, as did Engine 1-4-1, Rescue 1-6-1, and Squad 1-7-2. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office also helped.


At 7:05 a.m. on February 17th, the department responded to 2 Main Street to aid the South Jefferson Rescue Squad.


Later that morning, at 7:28 a.m., Chief 1-0-1 and Engine 1-4-1 responded to 37 East Church Street on a complaint of downed wires. Units secured the site before returning to service.
