Revere, Mass.—October 6— The Revere Fire Department, located at 400 Broadway, responded to a water rescue off Revere Beach after a person became stranded on the jetty at the south end of the beach. The individual was unable to return to shore when high tide covered sections of the jetty.
Group 2, under the command of Deputy Chief A. Giampietro, launched the department’s 14-foot Zodiac rescue boat to reach the stranded person. Firefighters safely transported her back to shore, where she was evaluated by EMS personnel and released without injury.
