October 20, 2025 — The Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company visited The Goddard School in Branchburg for Fire Prevention Day, spending the morning teaching students about fire safety and the role of firefighters in the community.

Firefighters engaged with children ranging from 3 months to 5 years old, emphasizing the importance of fire safety, what to do in case of an emergency, and helping them understand that firefighters — even when wearing full protective gear — are friendly helpers there to keep them safe.

The visit also included a hands-on experience, giving the young students a chance to sit inside a fire truck and see what it’s like to be a firefighter for a day.

The Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company expressed appreciation to The Goddard School for the invitation and for helping promote fire safety awareness among the community’s youngest residents.
