On October 2, 2025, the Spotswood Fire Department (SFD) took part in a joint training exercise alongside the Helmetta Fire Department, Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 – Station 51, and the Jamesburg Fire Department. The collaborative drill focused on ladder placement techniques at the Lofts in Helmetta. It was a valuable opportunity for all participating departments to strengthen coordination and teamwork with their mutual aid partners.
