October 9, 2025 — In honor of Fire Prevention Week, students from Robert Morris School visited the South Bound Brook Fire Department to learn about fire safety and the vital work firefighters perform in their community.
During the visit, firefighters provided a hands-on introduction to fire safety, discussed the importance of having an escape plan at home, and demonstrated the protective equipment used in emergencies. The highlight of the day came when the children had the opportunity to spray water from the fire hoses, an exciting and memorable experience for the young visitors.
The department thanked the teachers and students for their enthusiasm and participation, emphasizing that community outreach and early fire safety education are key parts of their mission to keep South Bound Brook safe.
