Somerville Fire Department Responds to Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries

October 20, 2025 — The Somerville Fire Department responded on Monday to assist Somerville Rescue Squad (54 Rescue) at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in multiple injuries.

Engine 573 arrived and provided scene protection and spill cleanup, ensuring the area was safe for emergency medical personnel to operate. Crews worked alongside Somerville Police Department, Mutual Aid Rescue Squad EMS, Branchburg Rescue, and Whitehouse Rescue Squad to treat and transport all injured patients.

The department praised the seamless coordination among all responding agencies, which allowed for a swift and effective response to the incident.
