October 11, 2025 — The South Bound Brook Fire Department has received updated build photos of its new Ladder 55 from Firefighter One and reports that the apparatus continues to make strong progress.
According to the department, the pump has been installed and the truck is “coming together nicely,” reflecting the work of the truck committee and the vendor. The committee is scheduled to complete a final inspection on the apparatus in the coming weeks to review specifications and finish details before the ladder is placed into service.
The department also used the update to encourage new membership. Anyone interested in volunteering is invited to reach out via Facebook or stop by the firehouse any Thursday at 7 p.m. to learn more about joining.
