Vernon Fire Department Issues Notice on Political Sign Placement
The Vernon Fire Department has issued a reminder to the public that its property is private and political signs are not permitted on department grounds. This restriction applies to both sides of Main Street surrounding the firehouse.
Any political signs placed on department property will be removed and relocated to the area between the seabox and the building, where they can be picked up by the owners.
In a statement, the department emphasized that it proudly serves all members of the community and does not endorse any political candidate or party.
“We ask everyone to please respect our space so that we can continue focusing on keeping our community safe,” the department said.
The message reinforces the department’s commitment to remaining neutral and maintaining focus on public safety during election season.
