October 4, 2025 — Over the past few weeks, members of the Fredon Volunteer Fire Company went above and beyond their regular duties and emergency responses, dedicating extra hours to prepare their rescue truck for the Sussex County Firemen’s Association Parade.
The hard work and teamwork paid off — not just in how great the truck looked, but in how the project brought members even closer together. From polishing every detail to making sure the apparatus reflected the pride and professionalism of the department, everyone contributed to the effort.
While awards are always appreciated, the real reward came in celebrating the camaraderie, pride, and teamwork that define the fire service. The process served as a reminder of why volunteers do what they do — to take pride in their department, to work as one team, and to make memories with their fire service family.
A job well done to the Montague Volunteer Fire Department for hosting this year’s parade and congratulations on their 75th anniversary!
