Fair Lawn, NJ, Oct 9: The Fair Lawn Fire Department was called to a reported vehicle fire at 4:51 p.m. on Route 208 South between Maple Avenue and Fair Lawn Avenue. When Fire Companies 1 and 2 arrived, they discovered two burning cars and a multiple-car collision. In order to put out the fire and stop additional damage, crews promptly set up handlines. Within minutes, the fire was contained. One individual was taken to a nearby hospital for assessment after suffering a minor injury.

In addition to recording the event, Fair Lawn Police helped with traffic control. The responding companies' prompt actions prevented more damage and maintained the safety of the busy highway for drivers.
