Fair Lawn, N.J. — October 14: The Fair Lawn Fire Department was called to the 16 block of Everett Terrace at around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday in response to a reported home fire. When Deputy Chief Palmieri arrived, he discovered a house near the electrical meter with a fire burning along its exterior. All four of the Fair Lawn fire departments responded to the scene after a general alarm was sent. Companies 1 and 2 firefighters acted swiftly to put out the fire, preventing it from spreading farther inside the building.
Although the blaze was small, there was notable damage due to the involvement of the home’s electrical service. Crews remained on scene to ensure the area was safe and the utilities were secured. All units cleared by 3 p.m.
No injuries were reported to the resident or responding personnel
