October 21, 2025 — The Fredon Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend its sincere thanks to Atlantic Air Ambulance flight crew members Kyle and Akash for leading an informative Landing Zone (LZ) Safety Class during last night’s monthly tripod drill with Hampton Township Fire & Rescue and Stillwater Area Volunteer Fire Company.

During the session, members gained valuable knowledge about setting up and maintaining a safe landing zone for incoming medical helicopters, as well as proper procedures for assisting flight crews in loading patients for air transport.

The evening also featured hands-on experience thanks to the Air Three flight crew, who brought their helicopter to the training. Members had the opportunity to get up close with the aircraft, practice LZ coordination, and ask questions directly to the crew.

The Fredon Volunteer Fire Company thanks Atlantic Air Ambulance for their continued partnership and commitment to firefighter and rescuer education — ensuring everyone is ready when seconds matter most.
