October 25, 2025 — The Berkeley Heights Fire Department is advising residents that Hamilton Avenue, between Plainfield Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue, will be closed today for fire hose testing operations.

This important maintenance ensures that all department hoses are in top working condition and capable of performing effectively during fire suppression efforts. Hose testing is a vital part of fire apparatus readiness and helps verify equipment safety and reliability.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and use caution when traveling near the testing area. The department thanks residents for their patience and understanding as firefighters complete this essential task.
