Westfield Fire Department Responds to 4th Alarm Structure Fire in Hillside

October 15, 2025 — The Westfield Fire Department’s Engine 5 was dispatched to assist the Hillside Fire Department at the scene of a 4th alarm structure fire.
Multiple mutual aid departments responded to the large-scale incident, which required extensive manpower and resources. Westfield firefighters joined neighboring companies to provide additional support in fire suppression and operations on scene.
No injuries have been reported at this time. Additional details regarding the cause of the fire and extent of damage remain under investigation.
