October 15, 2025 — At approximately 6:19 p.m., the Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company No. 1 was dispatched for Tanker 41-71 as part of a task force response to a large structure fire in Franklin Township.

Upon arrival, crews found a warehouse at the former Edison Concrete Plant fully involved in flames. Due to the lack of nearby hydrants, a tanker shuttle operation was established to supply water to the scene. The Knowlton crew played a key role in this effort, shuttling roughly 18,000 gallons of water to sustain firefighting operations.

Tanker 41-71 supplied aerial apparatus that were placed into service to help knock down the fire from above. The incident required an extensive mutual aid response, with fire apparatus from both Hunterdon and Warren Counties assisting in the operation.

The Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company commended all participating departments for their cooperation and teamwork in managing a complex and resource-intensive incident.
