October 1, 2025 — The North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 has officially begun its Fire Prevention Week 2025 activities, marking the start of a week dedicated to promoting fire safety and education throughout the community.

Each year, Fire Prevention Week serves as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and awareness when it comes to fire safety. The department’s members will be visiting local schools, hosting demonstrations, and sharing life-saving tips with residents of all ages.

This year’s national theme, “Charge Into Fire Safety: Prevent Lithium-Ion Battery Fires,” focuses on raising awareness about safe battery use and storage — an increasingly relevant issue in modern households.

Stay tuned for more photos and updates as the department continues its mission to educate, engage, and protect the community.
