Brownville, N.Y. — October 9 — As part of Fire Prevention Week, members of the Town of Brownville Fire Department visited Dexter Elementary School on Wednesday to teach students about fire safety and prevention in their homes.

Firefighters spoke with students about the department’s work and provided tours of several pieces of apparatus, including the Engine from Station 3, the Chief’s vehicle, and other utility units.

The department extended its thanks to the General Brown administration for the annual invitation and emphasized its commitment to educating the community’s youth on essential fire-safety practices.
