First Responders Train Together on Cayuga Lake with Aurora Vessel

Aurora, 28 September — CT: The Union Springs Fire Department (Union Hose & Engine Company), Cayuga County Highland Search & Rescue, the New York Federation of Search and Rescue teams, and the Cayuga County Office of Emergency Services collaborated on a coordinated water rescue exercise with the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department's water rescue unit. During the exercise, Aurora's ship served as a support platform. Teams practiced search patterns, victim retrieval, equipment deployment, and interagency coordination by staging operations on Cayuga Lake.
