Lacona Fire Department Responds to Mutual Aid Call, Cancelled En Rout

Lacona, NY - On February 17, 2026, at 6:32 PM, the Lacona Fire Department was dispatched by the Oswego County 911 Center to provide mutual aid to the Redfield Fire District for a possible structure fire at 1226 N Osceola Road in Lewis County.

Lacona’s role was to standby at Redfield FD’s floor, providing coverage for the other departments operating on scene, which included Redfield FD, Orwell FD, and Williamstown FD. Lacona responded with Engine 13-2-1 and Chief 13-0-1, carrying a total of eight personnel. The units were cancelled en route and returned to service at 6:57 PM.
