Campton, N.H. — September 24 — Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue shared a striking image captured by FF/EMT Spring of Engine 4 during routine testing of the dry hydrant at Bog Pond.
The drill was part of the department’s regular water-supply preparedness program, ensuring that rural water sources remain dependable for firefighting operations. Dry hydrants like the one at Bog Pond are essential for communities without pressurized hydrant systems, providing a reliable drafting point for engines during fire incidents.
