Barrington, N.H. — October 7 — Barrington Elementary School welcomed Barrington’s Bravest as firefighters met with first graders to share lessons on fire safety and explain the vital work they do to protect the community.

The visit gave students a close look at a fire engine and its specialized equipment. Firefighters demonstrated their protective gear and explained how they use their tools during emergencies. They also answered students’ questions and highlighted simple safety steps such as checking smoke alarms and knowing when to call 911.

The program is part of the Barrington Fire Department’s ongoing outreach during National Fire Prevention Week, helping young students learn about safety in a practical and memorable way. School staff thanked the firefighters for taking the time to connect with the students and strengthen community safety awareness.
