CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 15) — Firefighters in Cranberry Township have spent the past month focused on strengthening organizational culture through training, staffing and education initiatives, according to department leadership.

The effort, outlined by the brigade, board and Department of Fire and Emergency Services, emphasizes proficiency as the key to fireground safety. Officials said the program is being piloted by members and has already produced visible results, including increased membership and strong participation in training.

“Fireground safety is a result of task proficiency,” leadership said in a statement.

The department also highlighted the dedication of its firefighters, noting that the push is a long-term commitment expected to continue for years. Leaders praised members for meeting the challenge and shared photos documenting 30 days of activities.
