Driver extricated after overnight crash in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 22) — Firefighters rescued a driver trapped in a vehicle overnight after a crash in Cranberry Township, officials said.
Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company crews, working with EMS and police, used a winch and struts to stabilize the truck before removing the door. The patient was placed into a stokes basket and carried up a hill for transfer to EMS.
Fire officials thanked Team 300 and Chief 19-2 for assisting at the scene.
