Cheesequake, N.J,—21 September — On Sunday, the Cheesequake Volunteer Fire Company organized a three-hour vehicle extrication training exercise that allowed firefighters to practice rescue techniques used for individuals trapped in auto accidents.
During the drill, crews used hydraulic and battery-powered tools to simulate accident conditions. Participants worked through procedures such as scene assessment, stabilization, cutting and spreading metal, gaining access to victims, and safely removing them—all while maintaining safety for both rescuers and simulated victims. The effort was supported by King High Garage & Towing, which donated the vehicles used in the training and has continued to support CVFC’s rescue capabilities.
