Readington, N.J.-Sept 7: Four members of the Readington Volunteer Fire Company participated in the Raritan Township Fire Company's 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, capping off a busy weekend. The purpose of the event is to pay tribute to the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, as well as those who have since experienced health issues as a result of the events of that day.

In the challenge, RVFC was represented by Firefighters Brown Jr., Rice, Linck, and Jr. Firefighter Oursler. Notably, Oursler also assisted in planning the climb's team. Every year, in collaboration with the Raritan Township Fire Company, Hunterdon Medical Center hosts a stair climb in its parking garage.
