At approximately 2:12 a.m. on September 1 2025, all Hopewell Township fire departments were dispatched to Dublin Road for a reported structure fire with possible occupants trapped inside.
First-arriving units from the Pennington Fire Company discovered the residence fully involved in flames. Crews immediately initiated an interior fire attack and search of the home. They were soon joined by members of the Hopewell Fire Department and Union Fire Company & Rescue Squad. Fortunately, it was confirmed that all occupants had safely escaped prior to the fire department’s arrival.
A first alarm was transmitted, bringing additional support from Lawrence Road Fire Company, Ewing Township Fire Department – Station 30, West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company #1, Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 2, and Hamilton Township Professional Firefighters. Due to limited water supply, a second-alarm tanker assignment was struck, which brought in tankers from Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, Griggstown Volunteer Fire Department, Amwell Valley Fire Company, and Plainsboro Fire Department.
As conditions deteriorated, evacuation tones were sounded and operations shifted from an interior to a defensive, exterior attack. After several hours of coordinated efforts, the fire was declared under control at 4:50 a.m., and units were gradually released from the scene.
Additional coverage for Hopewell Valley during the incident was provided by West Trenton Volunteer Fire Company and the Trenton Fire Department.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Hopewell Fire Department extends its gratitude to all assisting agencies and offers its thoughts and prayers to the affected homeowners.
