Continental Village Bolsters Water Supply at Working Cornwall-on-Hudson Structure Fire

Continental Village, NY - Responding across county lines, the Continental Village Volunteer Fire Department dispatched heavy water-supply apparatus Monday to assist incident commanders battling a working second-alarm structure fire in eastern Putnam County.
On September 15, Continental Village Tanker was activated on mutual aid to respond into the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, where regional fire companies were engaged in an escalated multi-alarm structural firefight.
Upon arrival in the historic Hudson River community, Continental Village operators integrated their apparatus into critical water-relay and shuttle operations. The tanker supplied sustained, high-volume water flow to primary attack engines and elevated master streams working to isolate and douse the heavy fire conditions.
Operating alongside numerous Hudson Valley emergency agencies, Continental Village crews remained engaged on the fireground to provide continuous suppression support throughout the duration of the second alarm.
