Great Neck, NY - Great Neck Vigilant Fire Company crews mounted an aggressive morning assault Wednesday, rapidly exposing and extinguishing a concealed fire burning within the structural walls of a commercial property on Middle Neck Road.

On the morning of September 16, emergency units were dispatched following reports of an active fire involving a commercial occupancy along Middle Neck Road in northern Nassau County. First-arriving companies made immediate entry into the building, where they pinpointed a pocket of fire active inside the wall cavities.

Firefighters swiftly opened up the interior wall structures with hand tools, deploying targeted hose streams to isolate and drench the hidden blaze. The rapid breach and suppression operation successfully halted the fire's forward progress, preventing flames from spreading through the framing into neighboring retail spaces or extending vertically into structural roof voids.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
