Lake Shore fire company plans open house Sept. 20

HAMBURG, N.Y. (Sept. 9, 2025) — The Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company will hold an open house Saturday, Sept. 20, offering the public demonstrations and a chance to meet local emergency responders.

The event is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Roger’s Road station, 4591 Lake Shore Road.

Planned activities include auto extrication and car-cutting demonstrations, CPR instruction with a LUCAS device, free vital checks, fire extinguisher training, and car seat inspections by the Town of Hamburg police.

Agencies expected to participate include Mercy Flight, the Hamburg Water Rescue Unit, Town of Hamburg EMS and Town of Hamburg police, alongside Lake Shore firefighters. Equipment will be on display for families to explore.
