Grand Island paramedic honored with EMS educator award

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (Sept. 4, 2025) — Paramedic and company chairman Stephen Stouter of the Grand Island Fire Company has received the EMS Educator Excellence Award from the Wyoming Erie Regional Emergency Medical Service Council.
Stouter, who also serves as clinical coordinator for Erie County EMS, was recognized for his commitment to teaching through real-world connections and hands-on learning opportunities.
Colleagues said his work has inspired the next generation of EMS providers to reach their potential.
