NEWBURGH, NY – Knights of Columbus Council 444 held their Blue Mass on Sunday, September 7th, at Saint Francis Church in Newburgh. Father Fernando Hernandez led the Mass and was assisted by Deacon Thomas Neppi. The Mass was held in remembrance of the police officers and firefighters of September 11, when the Twin Towers were attacked. Members of Orange Lake and Good Will Fire Departments attended the service. Father Hernandez thanked the volunteers for their work in the community. The Knights of Columbus led the firefighters into the church and escorted them out after the Mass. Refreshments were served in the pantry following the service.
