On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at approximately 2314 hours, officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot inside of the Rockaway Avenue train Station within the confines of the 73 Precinct and Transit District 33. Upon arrival, officers observed a 47-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
