Webbs Mills Rigs Back First-Alarm Fire Attack Through Mid-Afternoon Operations

Pine City, NY - Firefighters and heavy water apparatus from the Webbs Mills Volunteer Fire Department deployed on a first-alarm assignment Sunday afternoon, providing frontline water supply and responder rehabilitation during a structure fire operation in the Southern Tier.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on September 13, the department was dispatched to assist on the initial alarm for an active structure fire. Tanker 1862 made a rapid turnaround and took up a forward position immediately behind the primary attack engine, establishing a direct supply line to support the initial fire attack.

To ensure an uninterrupted continuous water supply for interior attack crews, Webbs Mills also mobilized Tanker 1861 to bolster the water shuttle operation alongside dedicated support from Rehab 1882 to monitor and support personnel working on the fireground.

Department crews maintained suppression, water hauling, and firefighter rehabilitation support for over two hours, operating continuously on scene before bringing operations to a close and clearing shortly after 4:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.
