Car crashes into building in Newtown; 1 extricated

NEWTOWN, Conn. (Aug. 26, 2025) — Firefighters extricated a person from a car after it struck a building Tuesday morning, officials said.
Newtown Hook & Ladder was dispatched just after 9:30 a.m. and arrived to find one occupant trapped inside the vehicle. Botsford Fire Rescue responded as the second due company under protocol.
Crews stabilized the scene and freed the patient, who was transferred to Newtown Ambulance for transport.
