MILFORD, Conn. (Aug. 5, 2025) — Crews responded early Tuesday to a house fire on Alden Place that sent flames through a second-floor window of a wood-frame home, officials said.
The Milford Fire Department was dispatched around 2:10 a.m. to the one-and-a-half-story cape cod style residence. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing and stretched two handlines to attack the blaze.
The homeowner and a dog had evacuated before crews arrived, officials said. Searches were conducted, and coordinated vertical ventilation was used to contain and extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents, and the cause remains under investigation by the Milford Fire Marshal Division.
