Shelton firefighters provide mutual aid in Milford and Monroe

SHELTON, Conn. (Aug. 29, 2025) — Shelton firefighters assisted two neighboring communities Friday, responding to fires in Milford and Monroe.
Tanker 59 was sent to Milford, where local crews battled a large mulch pile fire. Shelton firefighters helped supply water, delivering about 42,000 gallons.
Just before 7 a.m., Companies 3 and 5 were dispatched to Monroe to assist with a residential structure fire.
