BOXFORD, Mass. (Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025) — Firefighters in Boxford practiced tanker shuttle operations Tuesday night, honing their ability to deliver continuous water to fire scenes in areas without hydrants, officials said.
The training involved rotating water tankers between a fill site and a dump site to maintain steady flow for firefighting operations.
Fire officials said the drill emphasized teamwork, efficiency and readiness for rural fire response.
