CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025) — Firefighters from Cortlandville and McLean extinguished a vehicle fire Saturday morning that briefly shut down McLean Road near the county line, officials said.
The blaze was reported around 11 a.m. Crews arrived to find the fire heavily involved in the vehicle’s engine compartment, according to the Cortlandville Fire Department.
Firefighters knocked down the flames without injury. The fire is believed to have been caused by a mechanical issue.
McLean Road was reopened shortly after the incident.
