Four-alarm fire on Warren Street draws massive mutual aid response

HUDSON, N.Y. (Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025) — A four-alarm fire on Warren Street early Sunday brought dozens of fire departments and emergency agencies into the City of Hudson for a massive response, officials said.
The blaze was reported around 7:08 a.m. at 744 Warren St. Hudson Fire Department command quickly struck a second alarm, which escalated to a fourth within minutes, according to the Columbia County Fire Coordinator’s Office.
Mutual aid companies responding included Greenport, Catskill, Athens, Chatham, Claverack, Stockport, Stottville, Livingston, Stuyvesant, Niverville, Copake and Germantown fire departments. County Cars 1, 2 and 5, the Columbia County C&O team, and the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services also supported operations.
Rescue squads, dispatchers, Hudson police and state fire investigators assisted at the scene.
“This is another example of dedicated volunteers working side by side, tirelessly and professionally, for positive outcomes in extremely dangerous situations,” County Car 1 said in a statement.
No injuries were immediately reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation
