Cyclist airlifted after crash with car in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, N.Y. (Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025) — A bicyclist was airlifted to a trauma facility Wednesday evening after a collision with a car on County Road 18, officials said.

Allentown Volunteer Fire Company responded along with the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Mercy Flight. Due to the severity of the injuries, Mercy Flight 9 landed at the intersection of White Hill Road Nos. 1 and 2 to transport the patient.

The patient was reported to be in stable condition as of late Wednesday, according to the fire company.

Officials praised the coordinated response between fire, EMS and air medical crews.
